07 sport sedan with rays 19s
Hi guys. Just got a deal on a set of staggered stock 19 inch rays. Had 2 questions. For 1, what size tires will i need to run on a 07 g35 sport sedan to avoid issues with vdc? 2, will the stock tpms sensors work with these wheels? Searched but didn't see much for this platform. Thanks in advance
Yes for the stock TPMS, I think the V35 and V36 chassis both used the same frequency sensors.
As for tires, as long as the difference in size is less than 3% you should be fine with the VDC.
Just to verify you do NOT have AWD correct? If you do then you need to run a squared tire setup, if RWD then no more than 3% difference front/rear, use a tire size calculator to verify.

It's not a bad thing to be RWD, the only time you would actually want an X model is if you live where it snows. Otherwise it's basically just a performance hindrance since it's extra weight and you can't get it with a 6MT.
Sadly it's not a 6mt either. Ha. On the bright side it has the paddle shifters, premium, and tech packages though. I like it more than my 07 350z. Much roomier and if i had to say so, i believe faster also.
Stock compared to stock it's not faster than an '07 350 unless there was something mechanically deficient on the 350. However the way the torque comes on feels significantly different which is probably what you're feeling.
You should consider a transgo shift kit and MAYBE stepping up to the 3.9 gears instead of your stock 3.7 ones.
Those two mods, a true dual cold air intake, high flow cats, muffler delete (or aftermarket cat-back), and tune and those 2007-2008 sedans are VERY sporty.

I've been looking at different catbacks, just haven't decided on one yet. It does have berk test pipes but otherwise stock as far as i know. Pretty sure it has an exhaust leak somewhere near the o2s. I had a shop put this engine in a couple months ago after i bought it with a seized one. I've been chasing their mess ups since. Had alot of missing bolts and such. They took alot of shortcuts. Then had to replace the exhaust retarders. Its almost there though
