Rain causes huge electrical issues, unknown origin no leaking into car

I thought it was the drain under the battery that was clogged but after cleaning it out, my car sitting in the rain for a couple days caused tons of electrical issues. The battery drained, the car would only run in safe mode, the break lights were flickering on and off. I suspect the IPDM is getting wet still somehow? Or maybe something else? Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Yea that appears to be the issue but still no actual fix, I already cleaned out the drain so it appears its just designed to dump water on the IPDM.. Still ive had the car for years and it wasnt doing this. Im about to just cover the IPDM is electrical tape because I cant think of what else can be done.

It is a stupid design by Nissan. But dont wrap it in electrical tape, that wont help.

You still might have water or moisture inside the actual ipdm thats causing issues. U need to remove it and disassemble it and dry it out. I cleaned drain a few years ago and my car had been fine. But about 2 months ago I was driving in a heavy downpour and got home and parked the car. A few hours later I went to start it and the battery was dead. I guess the small drain hole in the Ipdm compartment is good enough for light rain but not enough to handle a huge amount of water pouring in there. Im guessing the water slowly built up and flooded my ipdm. I wonder if we have clearance underneath to drill some more holes around there to help drain the water faster 🤔
