Just hit 85k miles yesterday which means I’ve driven almost 6k since I got my g in march. Within a month of daily driving (around april-may) and 1 day I noticed the belt was chirping and wouldn’t go away when driving. I was really worried at the time but remember reading something online that made me more comfortable stating it was a natural VQ noise, and after all the noise did go away completely the next day.
I would ocassionally hear it during the summer when it rained and I started her up for first time of day, but it would go away within couple seconds of idling. But now that its below 50 every morning am I hearing this belt chirp on every cold start. Only cold starts in the morning and when I give it a little gas it goes away within seconds usually. But a couple weeks ago I drove about a mile down the road to a stop sign and was able to hear it still. The chirping only seems to be on the first start of day even if its 40 out and I go for a late night drive and haven’t started my car in a good 8 hours.
I daily this car and ever since the mornings in NE have been cold I hear it every morning. I just want some more info if anybody has any on what cost will be for replacement, ect. I cringe whenever I hear the sound and the fact that I have been driving through it can’t be doing any good even though it goes away with throttle.

Those videos were pretty useless, upload it to Youtube then put the link here but make sure it actually shows/hears something.

If your belts are squealing then replace it, check the tensioner while it's off.
