Car not starting and amber key light on dash
It's probably the sunroof drains are clogged, not the firewall seal leaking.
Also, random exposed wires wrapped around each other without being actually fastened together (wago, solder, wirenut, crimp connector, etc) could be a problem.

Key light on and will not start. Will go to ACC and ON mode but will not start. Did all the things with the keys. Often
thought it worked but problem ALWAYS came back. During one of these "fail to start" hissy fits I pumped the gear shift
and started right up. Wiggled the gear shift and start problem returned......hmmmm.....maybe just maybe the car thinks
it is not in Park ? Changed out the gear indicator electric bit beside the gear shift and voila starts every time. Can wiggle
the gear shift and still starts every time. I think I found the culprit. BTW in the past the gear shift often refused to come
out of park and took wiggling and car off-on several times to get it to come out of park. This one was a real bugger
but an easy cheap fix (thanks Ebay!) once we ID'd the bad part.

Lack of maintenance of the shifter assembly, it does require greasing of the plastic pins and other moving components. Many have ripped boots and crap falls in there preventing complete engagement of moving parts such as the sensors that tell the car "You're in Park or Neutral". Some just yank the shifter and bend the parts inside. Always clean, lube and read the FSM before replacing unnecessary parts. I've had issues with my shifter, but i cleaned it and applied Quicksilver marine grease where it needs to be and no more issues.
