vdc and slip light randomly appeared while driving
I was just driving coming up on a red light and all of a sudden the car jerked like as if it lost traction somehow at like 15-20mph slowly coming to a stop and the VDC and slip light came on the dash and stayed. I drive through the light and the car drives like complete **** and the trans was shifting like as if was on it last life in limp mode.
I turned the car off for like a minute and then it was back to normal. Car is at 79k miles no codes. Any help or idea what it could be? I have read about it being the brakes but mine are completely fine and the car was jerking when the lights came on at the same time together so I think it would be a VDC issue. It’s an AWD model if it helps too.

Check for codes; same symptoms I had for camshaft sensor failing. My 2006 G was at 50K miles when it went out on me this past March.
so yesterday the same exact issue happened again. i have no codes at all which is kind of concerning me. the symptoms are for a bad CPS but every CPS issue i have read about on here had codes to go with them. no codes is really not helping cause i feel like i have no direction. it would tell me exactly which bank and sensor to replace but instead my car is not throwing any lights or codes when i scanned.
not really sure what i should do in this spot. i will actively scan for codes but it doesn’t seem like the issue will throw one. i believe there is 4 CPS on the HR not sure where they are located but i want to avoid throwing parts at it if i am not 100% sure of the issue. is it possible to have CPS or crankshaft issues with no codes? any feedback is appreciated as i figure out how to go about this

UPDATE: yesterday the car completely died on me in a parking lot while driving it and was the last straw for me. i made an appointment at infiniti dealer for today and paid the 190$ for them to diagnose the problem i was hoping to be the CPS. they couldn’t replicate the issue on their drive obviously cause it happens so random but based on my symptoms they told me to “start by replacing transmission”.
from their diagnosis i figured out i have a ABS DTC code C1130 which is new to me because i didn’t think i had any codes at all. i am going to do my research and hope it will lead me somewhere but if anyone knows about this code if it could be affecting me please let me know how to go about things. it seems like it could be a multiple of things with the vdc/abs system and i’m hoping it’s related to my issue and i can drive my car without worrying about the trans blowing on me.

C1130 is just the ABS/VDC/TCS computer saying it lost engine signal, it's not the cause of the problem but it did notice that the engine shut off while driving.
Unfortunately there's not an easy way to find the issue especially since it's working again now. It is most likely either a crank sensor or one of the four cam sensors.
When it does it again, crank the engine and see if the tachometer moves, if the tach won't move while cranking it's the crank sensor.
Why on earth would they recommend to replace the transmission? You weren't having transmission issue correct? Transmission failure won't cause the engine to die on you. Sounds like technician incompetence, the C1130 should have been a huge red flag that the engine shut off for some reason, not the transmission.

so after going into limp mode 7+ times and the car dieing on me while driving 3 over the span of 4k miles, the car FINALLY deicides to throw me the P0345 for CPS circuit bank 2. i was celebrating when i got the code today i was expecting the light to be a cat code that has been coming on and off for me. but with the timing of it lead me to rush to get it scanned, right after it cranked it up from limp mode it had a SES light which was new. i had been actively scanning and have got nothing related to this issue and this gives me the definite answer idk why it took so long for the car to throw the code.
seems like a real simple job i’ll be giving the infiniti dealer a call to see if they will do it for free for misdiagnosing my car and leading me in the completely wrong direction. would be nice to get their expensive oem sensor and have them do it for free rather than buy some aftermarket one and do it my self. i only payed for a diagnosis after all but i think they can do me a favor after spewing me a whole lot of BS
