2008 g35 new to me questions

I just purchased this car and noticed the specs I found online say it should have automatic headlights, but it clearly doesn't.
no sensor and no auto on the stalk.
I saw where someone retrofitted the stalk and sensor on an 06 and was wondering if anyone had done it for an 07-08 car? I couldn't find a thread.
I see on ebay the stalks are both sides and seem to be quite common. only one sensor though.
I don't see the wiring in the vent like the 06 had, but maybe it is just tucked away.

second, I saw a post about backing up the harddrive in the nav unit, but I was also wondering if anyone tried a newer unit, something after 2010? since they look the same.

Third, the passenger side seat doesn't adjust anymore. they unplugged it. Makes me wonder if it is more than just a motor. does it have its own control module?

Finally, half the dash doesn't light up. tach side and temp and fuel gauge doesn't have any back lighting. oddly the needles light up. Speedo is lit too.
is this just bad connectors on the leds? is there an upgraded replacement? I saw a custom dash light setup but it was 400 dollars, and I would rather not spend that if I can help it. I really only found posts where people had accidently killed the lights with the dimmer, but mine appears to be on the upper part of the dash, not at the knees.

Adding the auto headlights is going to be quite a bit of work, it's not just adding the light sensor, the stalk, but the BCM computer that handles it would need to be swapped (and programmed at Nissan) as well.

No clue about the factory nav, most folks just delete all that since it's significantly outdated, use a double din head unit with built in nav or even better use your phone on a phone cradle.

The seat issue is PROBABLY a bad motor and it was unplugged because the motor was probably only turning one directly so they manually set the seat then unplugged it it couldn't be moved into a bad position and be stuck there.

Lights on the dash is probably a bad instrument cluster, I'd just source a replacement OEM one.

Thanks, I was hoping the auto lights were like the earlier years. someone mentioned the bcm was already programmed for it.
too bad, would have been a nice upgrade.

as for the dash lights, I think that is a bit of a toss up. looks like they are going for around 100 bucks on ebay after shipping.
I can ship it somewhere for around 150 to fix, or there is a local shop that will do it for around 200.
I will probably let it go for a bit, since the speedo still is lit up. the rest are nice to have, but not critical.
