clueless mechanic
So I bought some bc br coilovers about a year ago I really wanted to install them my self it doesn't seem hard at all but I live in a apartment I mean complex and it's forbidden to do any type of Auto work in the parking lot and if I was to be able to do it I don't have much space because there's a car on both sides but anyways so I went to this mechanic to charge me 400 bucks to install my coilovers I asked them do you know how to do it long story short he was having trouble putting the rear coilovers because the spring comes separate from the strut and the spring goes into the spring bucket until I looked it up real quick and I told him where it goes but the idiot left the river insulator on top and installed it with the new coil the new coil doesn't need that rubber insulator anymore it's supposed to sit flat and because he did that one year later or less than a year later the inner tire of my rear left side is all chewed up and I had just bought these tires less than a year ago pretty expensive but that's what I get for going cheap now the spring sits crooked and there's a clinking clunking noise as I drive but what I'm most pissed off about is that my tire is chewed up from the inside
3 things you need to fix this yourself on the street;
1. jack stand
2. socket set from Walmart up to size 19mm
3. 45 minutes of your time.
Apply parking brake, loosen rear lug nuts, raise car, support car with jack stand, remove wheel, use cars scissor jack to unload spring cup, remove the bolt (17mm i think) that hold cup to knuckle, then unwind the scissor jack to unload the spring and it's all yours.
