Battery light and brake light are on
So I have a 07 g35 v36 that I recently had the power steering pressure hose and return line replaced and ever since that the battery light and brake light came on. I did notice that the alternator connector was completely disintegrated so it wouldn’t connect properly to the alternator so I bought a new pigtail and made sure I wired it correctly and lights are still on. I ended up replacing the alternator and same thing. Also did an alternator test on both with my scanner and apparently it’s overcharging. Like 16.18v at idle. Car runs fine btw just the lights are bothering me. Maybe a bad grounding connection but no clue where to start. Any help is appreciated.

did you swap it with the correct alt? the highest voltage i've seen was around 14.5x on mine. i assume the p/s fluid was leaking all over the old alt? clean it up, chase the wiring and make sure you have the correct alt for the car.
Figured it out today, ended up being the alternator fuse was blown, number 32. I’m guessing when the alternator connector wasn’t on properly, I turned the car on to bleed the power steering system, and it blew the fuse. lol all good now though, lights are gone👍🏼
