2007 G35s Sedan Key Fob not recognized for ignition, but is for everythingg else
So here is a doozy.... 2007 G35s 6MT Sedan. Worked a night shoot last Sunday. No problems going to work, but 8 hours later I get back to crew parking, car won't start. Orange key light shows on dash. Steering wheel locked, push button won't cycle from Lock to ACC to On. Key FOB locks and unlocks car. Door handle and trunk buttons lock/unlock/open when fob is in pocket outside. Same thing when FOB is put into slot. Read through forums about similar situations...
Things done with absolutely no change in situation:
New Battery in FOB. Front and back of board in Fob hit with electronic contact cleaner.
Disconnected battery, held + and - battery leads together for 2+ mins, reconnected.
Had friend hook up jumper cables to make sure battery had enough power.
Checked ignition fuses driver sude panel, and sec system fuses near battery
Pulled carpet, and panels to access BCM area. (had been having sunroof drain leak past week), there was some water in floorboard under carpet, but did not notice any moisture/corrosion on BCM, nor ground in that area. Pulled the multi wire banks (green white grey/black) from BCM, (could not easily pull the top connectors so left alone. Hit male amd female sides with contact cleaner, unscrewed ground near BCM, hit with contact cleaner, even though I saw no corrosion and re-bolted.
Called mobile locksmith, who could communicate with BCM, but could not reprogram FOB. BCM gives a B2014 code. Locksmith said good news is my key is still bound to BCM, bad news is there seems to be no communication from the BCM to the ignition button, says I should find a mobile mechanic well versed in electronic to try and track down where the communication issue between BCM and ignition is... Once this is resolved car should start, but it was outside their purview...
Any other suggestions? or does anyone know of a good mobile mechanic in the Atlanta area familiar with Nissan and/or Infiniti?
Here's the other kick in the nuts, car is in a parking garage with a 6' 9" max clearance, so Flat bed tow truck not an option, also wheels are slightly turned from parking, and steering wheel is locked... Otherwise I would have had it towed to a shop already..
Thanks in advance for any insight.
