Air intake issues!

Air intake issues!

Ok so I recently learned that I have a vacuum leak somewhere, a code was given.

Upon searching for said leak I noticed something about the driver side air cleaner assembly. I'm going to attach a diagram of the air cleaner and there will be a part of it highlighted in blue.

The blue highlighted part is missing entirely from the air cleaner and I believe it's a connection from the air cleaner to the resonator. Is there a way to quick fix this? I've searched every crevice of the Internet for just that part and cannot find it. I don't even know how it came off or how long it's been missing.

Cut the air boxes off at the end of the MAF housing, replace those cheap elbows that leak with these from eBay and slip on 2 air filters from eBay. Total cost, about $45. Better sound, more air flow and less nuisance down the road.

What would I do with the resonators then? Just leave them open with nothing connected?

Those 'resonators' are useless and they don't do anything. As long as they are before the air filter, no debris will get into the engine. But remember, those cheap nissan rubber flex boots leak badly, mostly around the flex rings and they are not cheap. So it's cheaper to convert once and be done for years.
Here are few pics of the final setup which include two 45 degree boots, two cone air filters, two 5/8" bulkhead fittings for PVC, one 5/8" brass tee for PVC, two stock MAFs and clamps.
No brackets needed to hold filters in place.

I've seen others do that quite a bit regardless of vehicle type or make. I think I'll do that here eventually. I just recently hit 200k miles and for the last 30k miles I've been encountering back to back to back issues. Just had to replace the rack and pinion, clock spring, a starter, both front hubs and now I'm looking at having to replace the fuel pump and I got an evap leak. I had a little experience working on diesel paving equipment before I started taking on repairs for this vehicle so there's a lot i still don't know however I haven't encountered failure yet when doing repair work myself. Everything I listed before I had to do the first time because I don't always have thousands of dollars laying around every time something breaks. As long as the resonators are essentially useless I won't worry about it.

all maintenance related items, so nothing unexpected on a 200k car (i bet all these issued were fixed under $1k - that's a "normal" monthly payment on a car these days). those dampeners are pre-filter and don't do anything, so either leave them/it off or if you find that missing piece, just use some good hvac tape and tape it back to the box (what i did).
