It does look like it lost some of its sporty edge, but judging by the 7.5K redline it might have the power to make up for the lost in looks...

Yeah, specs would be great. I'm not sure how I feel about the trunk lip/spoiler.

i'm waiting for the aero kit and sport package info and all the specs. yes i'm hoping that it will stay as the G35 even though it could possess the 3.7L engine. don't forget a few years back when the Q45 had the 4.1L V8

Although I still kind of like the Lexus interior layout more, we win on everything else by a LONG shot!

I like the way they change the car, still looks like a G but with a bit of more modern styling.

Crap.

I'm less than thrilled with this. It looks good, but IMO the front end had no character from the previous generation.

The rear and interior are near perfect, but the front doesn't say "G35".

Plus with the competition of sporty sedans like BMW and IS, I was expecting something radical. Instead, it looks like today's sedan, with the front end of the M, and an incorporated wing with rounded out bumpers. If this is what I have been anxiously waiting for, sorry to say I am disappointed with the outside. It should have shaken the automotive world, like the IS did, but instead, all I see is a small rumble....

I really do prefer the look of the IS350 and BMW 3 series over this newer G35 sedan. So I guess I will wait and see if I change my opinion when I see it in person, since sometimes pictures do not justify a car....

Was expecting something hotter than this....
i totally agree, word for word. i was hoping for a second that maybe the G would look better with larger wheels, but there is no getting around that oddly-sized grille, those weird headlamps, the incredibly low beltline, the bulbous and nondescript rear section. and the interior just pales in comparison to the IS; at least the center console does. very disappointed.

of course, the G coupe will come out six months later and probably look exactly like the coupe concept, causing everyone who ends up buying this G sedan throw their hands up in the air and shout out a loud "crap!"

MM mode is where it SHOULD be....towards the driver. I always wanted to convert my shifter to JDM for that sole reason.

the IS interior is warming but it is confusing to use the buttons unlike how simple the egornomics are in the G.

I like the outside shape however don't understand why all the car manufacturers are going towards that new trunk look. I would have to sit in the driver's seat to make a proper judgement call on how the controls are laid out especially the navi and it's interface.

I like it better than the others. The comparison shot really helped.
I still think the 05 and 06's look very nice compared to this. I was only hoping that they would get us duals and a better rear end. I just know that the M LCD has some pretty bad glare.

well one big thing -- in that category the interior space will still remain high. i couldn't even get out of the backseat of a Lexus IS250/350
