Quote: They are talking an awful lot about it. It may be because Lexus has been talking so much about the Mark Levinson sound systems that they're using in their new rides. I'd be surprised if any Bose system can hang with ML, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Remember though, audio is very subjective, so user opinion is going to very considerably.
Yeah, that makes sense. I know my sales guy had me sit in an M and I was blown away by the quality. Although I'm ignorant when it comes to audio systems. I know there is a stigma surrounding bose, especially in car audio, but hopefully this one well be great.

I just want to know the true hp rating of the "new" VQ. Enough hide and seek already!

That's the new thing - audio systems. VW put what I have stated before is the best factory system ever in their new Passat that's made by Dynaudio.

Wow...

And Lexus grabbed up Mark Levenson who is an audio icon since the early 70s (plus his name sounds snotty enough for Lexus owners too I guess.)

And here we are...with Bose...

Now if only Meridian made a car sound system...

Looks like Nissan will be adopting the SAE net (Rev 8/04) method too, so now the comparison to the others will apple to apples. IIRC, the carconnection mentioned the new 2007 Maxima has the same engine as the 2006, only it is rated at 255hp, down from 265 due to the new rating.

Why not Infinity audio equipment for Infiniti. Makes perfect sense.

Ya, there are always folks that love Bose systems. Actually quite a few people really enjoy the current G's system, although from an audio perspective it's absolute trash. I'm just interested to see if Bose managed to get even close to a flatline response curve in the new G - it'd be nice if this one actually had a midrange.

Quote: The M45 has it, so I'm sure the new G35 will have it. There is a button on the steering wheel for it.

Thats what I was thinking, but I dont see it mentioned anywhere.

J1349 is SAE Certified, not SAE net. SAE net is from 1972.

Infinity audio? You don't get audiophile gear from Best Buy, my friend. Plus, that would be a little gay.

So true. Yeah - too many people confuse how loud it gets with how good it sounds.

Picus - you should seriously audition the Passat with that Dynaudio. That's the one to beat IMO.

Quote: no telescoping steering wheel?????

Wonder if that CF slot will take a Type II? If so, there is some huge capacity CF available!!!

Also, when the new coupe comes out, there will be no more comparison on whether the G35 is more luxo than their 350z. Those 350z'er crack me up...

I saw in the pictures it has a telescoping wheel

isnt that what is under the indicator handle? does that mean it will go up and down automatically when you enter and exit like the M?

Some people in the audio section would disagree with you. Nice attitude by the way, does Mom know you skipped school today?

Doesn't the current G35 sedan AT w/ premium package have the easy entry/exit? I know the seat moves forward and backward, but does the steering wheel tilt up? If the current one has it, I'm sure the new G35 will have it.
