Thanks for the info. I'm glad there is rca inputs. Every new car needs these for all mp3 players (not just ipods) and portable dvd players. The 10gb hd sounds cool but sucks you can only get it with the nav. Hopefully, it will be easy to mod on any car with a much larger drive. It would be sweet to load up all my music and never have to mess with cd's in the car again.

Exactly right...
The floor in front of the co-pilots seat has a hump extending out from the center console.

...If it's gone, I have a green light

I've never had a complaint about that Ian, no one has ever said a word. I have a feeling that type of bulge is common on a lot of RWD cars, I think my Mustang GT had something odd like that as well.

110% agree. I haven't played with the BMW IPod integration which is supposed to be the best. My boss is getting it for his 5 series soon, so maybe I'll change my mind when I try it but my understanding is that it's just a straight linear list and it only shows the first 1000 songs. I haven't read an IPod a positive review of an IPod car integration device yet. Personally, RCA's are much better and work with anything, including laptops, etc.

Am i the only one who wishes the stereo was just a regular double din system? A car PC can provide more functionality that what any OEM can do and I'd love to be able to put one in my car.

2din might be good for aftermarket, but they usually ruin the design of the center console. especially 90% of the owners probably wont bother to change the headunit.

2 din might ruin the look of the console, but I would replace it with a large touchscreen LCD anyway. And I do know that 90% of the owners probably won't replace the headunit, but its impossible to do a 3 way front stage with a sub with an OEM headunit.
