No offense meant here AT ALL but your dad shouldn't be a factor in this decision unless he is going to pay for whatever you get. YOU have to pay for the car and while your dad may be willing to help you that isn't always the best course to take.

I spoke with my local dealer and they said the official release date is October 1 and they will have their first shipment available on that date.
They will be able to place orders beginning in July, but specific orders will not be in until November. The first shipment is a crap shoot, what ever the manufacturer sends out.
I am G35less right now, but am one of the first on the list for an 07. Can't wait. I miss my G.
