November?

According to all the reports this car will be hitting dealers this November.. Does anyone think or have proof to believe that-- a November date is not set in stone and could possibly be earlier? I have a car comming off lease August 18th-- but November is toooooooo far away to wait-- any chance?

I doubt it... I've heard this from a couple of different sources.

You should be able to order in Aug though....
Also, ask about extending your lease a couple of months 'till it comes in.
I'm sure they'd accomodate you.

Word so far is base MSRP will be close to the same.
I wouln't be surprized if fully optioned is 1 to 2 K$ more.

Residuals have held pretty well so far...
I would expect the '07 to lease out very well.

It might be tough to negotiate much off MSRP the first few month though.

Good luck with it ...

1 to 2k more?
i think i am misreading this or you had a typo? look at the M....you can get a base M35 for $39,950, the tech and journey pkg add $10,000....i am afraid the G will go this route somewhat. a base G for 32k, but the journey pkg costing around 2k and tech around 4 or somthing....i am betting a fully optioned G will run just under 43k

I took it that inTgr8r meant that the fully optioned model would be $1k-$2k more than the previous fully optioned model, not $1k-$2k more than the '07 base model.

If you are just starting out I would say get a cheap gas friendly car and at least give yourself a year or so to find out how the money, etc is really going to play out. Don't get in too far just yet - it will just stress you out more.

I completely understand your logic. Only problems are...
1) My father is against used cars, which is why it would be temp
2) The job is salaried, and very high, so not much worry there
3) PLUS i get a corporate discount on Infiniti's, another plus

With that added, you think i should go ahead with an order asap?

No offense meant here AT ALL but your dad shouldn't be a factor in this decision unless he is going to pay for whatever you get. YOU have to pay for the car and while your dad may be willing to help you that isn't always the best course to take.

If job is salary and as high as you say, put off the new car for a year and save up. More money for down payment and lower payment or an outright purchase with the pride of knowing *you* paid for it not your parents. I am basing this on the assumption that you will be moving into your own place, taking over your own bills, etc as many do when they graduate. If you have not done this before you will likely have some things come up that catch you off guard - been there and done that already.

Assuming the discount isn't about to vanish it will still be there when you do get a car. I'm just offering practical advice from someone who has made some real mistakes with big purchase decisions in the last 10 years since I moved out of my parent's house. Be beyond cautious at first and realize that most people work a very long time to have things without being in debt. Debt is extremely stressful regardless of your income. Jobs are never "not a problem" and things happen. Just be careful is all.
