My350z search> g35driver search?

Over on my350z.com, their search allows search for 3 character words such as bbs or ssr or sp1, while g35driver.com doesn't. Any way to enable this as there are many abbreviations used here that would be helpful to search for. Also, any way you can setup search for the marketplace as well? Currently the only way to find anything in the marketplace is by going through posts by page which becomes tedious

this is NECESSARY please! i tried searching a ton of topics including:

RAS - very important for 06MT modifiers
HKS
B&M
RE

can you make it so if we put them in quotation marks they can search? or just allow the min char value to be 3? cuz we could still search for RE like "RE " with a space in there, etc.... Its my only complaint about this site is the search feature sux because of this!

Seriously, this is a huge hindrance in searching. Especially for wheels (ASA, BBS, HRE, etc etc etc)

Is there any way to make this happen??

go to advanced search and change it from natural language to boolean, just realized that was there, then you can use boolean search terms such as AND(+), NOT(-), and the adding an * to lengthen the word. I swear this was recently activated because it wasn't there a few months ago. I normally use Boolean search on other websites to search posts

Oh, and I've used the boolean feature before but didn't know if it was AND/OR/NOT or +/- etc

+1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

C'mon Hero. Enough with the smart@ss condescending comments. I'm a "newbie" who was also having problems & frustrations with this site's search engine, and came to this thread looking for help. Instead I found a thread clogged with your sarcasm. Not cool.

what sarcasm? i use the search just like anyone else. hell, i didnt even know about this boolean stuff. i still dont know what it is. hence, i asked for an example of how it would be used. so dont give me **** b/c youre having trouble with the search function. it's not my fault. and there is no secret. i type in whatever i want to find and look through all 11+ pages.

i was kidding when i said learn to use it correctly, but it wasnt meant to be sarcastic.

fwiw, this is what I tried...and it seems to work. Only works in 'search entire posts' and not in 'search titles only'

Key word(s):
[ RPM* 505* ]

Search Type:
[ ] Natural Language [O] Boolean

ps anyone know where to buy RPM 505 wheels?
