I'm having some issues with the embedded video function. I can get the video to embed in some spots and not others, specifically, I started a new thread in the video section, and embedded a video fine, but when I pasted that same embed code into a reply in another thread in a different section, it just shows up as text and not a video. Anyone know why this is the case?

 

This will all depend on which Forum you pasted the embed code in. Some forums allow embed code to be displayed, and others do not. Which forum was it that you tried it in? Maybe I can suggest that it be enabled in that forum.

is there a way to allow people to embed videos in forums where HTML code is off (ie. its using vB code)? i heard that HTML functions like embed are disabled to keep unwanted scripts from messing up pages, but i would hope that there's a way to allow more videos while still protecting the site.

anyway, just wondering if there's a compromise solution to this because there are times when it'd be nice to be able to post up a vid. thx!
