"Off-topic" / "other car comparison"

Moderators... any thread that compares the '07+ G35 to another car is NOT a "other car comparison" that should be sent to 'off topic'.

If I wanted to compare the new Mini Cooper to the new VW GTI then that would be 'off-topic' and "other car comparison".

Please stop sending all threads involving the '07+ G35 vs. _______ to the 'off-topic' "other car comparison" forum.

Thank you.

I agree. Besides, any thread that got sent over to the "off topic" will get very little attention.

Exactly, and the info is still there, maybe you guys should try exploring the rest of the site, there's more to the world than the 07+ section

It's just frustrating that every thread that's moved dies or goes to **** immediately after being moved.

I think thats just poor organization of the site and I'm glad this is in suggestions. I think comparisons like this belong in the G35 '07+ forum. I'd bet the thread I made gets 2-3 more responses and then dies... while it would have been around for 10+ posts in the '07+ section.

As redlude97 said above I would suggest that you guys take some time to explore the rest of the site. The threads are moved because they belong in the comparison section. The V36 sedan is not so unique anymore and it doesn't deserve to have different rules than the rest of the forum.

convince your 07+ buddies to come out of hiding then, we don't bite. In other cars, you'll also get more unbiased answers from people with an 07+ sedan.

I was the one that moved your thread from the 07 Sedan section. This is the way that it has always been here. If you are comparing ANY car, including our beloved G35, then it belongs in the Comparison section.. If we let these types of threads stay, the 07 Sedan section would be completely cluttered with vehicle comparisons. As such, the 07 Sedan section (and every other G Section here) will continue to have ONLY G35 related posts.

If members aren't willing to venture outside of the 07 Sedan section once in awhile, I don't see how that's poor organization on our part.

It's just very different from any other forums I've been on. What is the 'general' section of the '07+ forum for then? It's broken up into New Owners, Tech, and Photos... seems like if the main forum had a few threads about the G35's specs compared to other vehicles it wouldn't cause any problems.

One of the things I really like about this site is the clear cut division between the 03-06 and the 07+. I don't like 6mt.net because you never know if someone's post is referring to the older or new model.

Having to pick through the rest of the site can be annoying, and leaving the one or two threads a week like this in the '07+ forum wouldn't cause any problems.
