YOU set YOUR profile for 'Instant email notification' in your user CP. The system default is NO when you first registered on Driver, so you really only have yourself to blame for this and you getting annoyed. This resulted in you getting automaticly subscribed to any thread you were posting to. I reset your profile to NO.

Go to the user CP, then clik on the 'Edit options', then scroll down to 'Messaging & Notification' and you should see a drop down list to select a default subscription mode. Set this to 'Do not subscribe'.

Edit: O NO beat me to the post, I was on the phone with UPS and my boss at the same time and didn't press submit.

im aware of what MY profile is set to im not a computer moron. I want to get notified in threads that I subscribe to. But its automatically subscribing me to threads im not even opening. O NO your condesending attitude towards me is not appreciated. I know what my settings are, im merely pointing out the fact that im getting notifications for things im NOT subscribing to, threads ive deleted out of my subscribed list (which magically get re-added to my list) or threads im not even opening...

Edit: I just cleared out all my "subscribed threads" this morning out of my User CP and somehow im subscribed to 8 more. This is what im talking about, something isn't right on your end. And you claim to have turned off my notifications but im still getting them.

The condesending reply was given as a result of the subject title. You might be better severed PM'ing an administrator with this type of unique problem.

well if you were getting emails to threads you didnt even open constantly and constantly deleting subscribed threads from your User CP it would be annoying to you as well. deleting 25 emails every few hours is a PITA, and im sure it would be for you as well. as an admin and a representative of the site you shouldnt ASSUME that its MY problem here. instead try pointing me in the right direction as your post above does. thank you
