Hi guys!!
I've noticed for about a couple of months that I haven't been able to get the most recent posts regarding any search term.
Could it be that the site index for the search hasn't been updated?
Any help from the admins in getting this fixed would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I'm not seeing a problem
Can you give an example of the search?

For me to be successful in searching.. I go to google and type in what i am looking for, followed by g35driver. Like "best intake g35driver"
^ if you use;
"site:g35driver.com z tube install"
it will restrict the Google search to G35Driver

The term that I search the most is Ionic. The most recent post that I can find in search is from 12-19-2009 for example:
https://g35driver.com/forums/search....archid=9130172
And here are a couple of example threads that contain the word ionic, are from a later date than 12-19-2009 and don't show up in the search results:
https://g35driver.com/forums/picture...batmobile.html
https://g35driver.com/forums/4863217-post967.html
https://g35driver.com/forums/4862519-post966.html
And I'm sure I have seen a couple of more, but didn't have time to bring the subject up.
Thanks!

The problem with the first thread you are have a problem with, my thread, is that it says, ".IONIC." instead of just "ionic" without the periods. The search doesn't recognize that.Originally Posted by Ionic

Edit: I see what you're saying now, I think. When restricting your search to "search entire post" and "show results as posts," the most recent post is from 12/19/09 as you mentioned. Hmm, don't know what's up with that.

I already tried some other key words that should be more common, like coupe, wheel, sedan and others and the most recent date that comes up is 12-23-2009
I have all of my settings correct, it's setup to search for posts from "any date" and to sort results by "last posting date" and in "descending order"
Thanks!

Even if you just enter the term in the search drop down window you don't get any recent posts Originally Posted by caLvinator

The search is so broken it's not even funny.
Case in point: https://g35driver.com/forums/4855878-post62.html
Now search for "40,000" or for "yen" or "$400"
None of those searches will find that post.
This is really frustrating because sometimes I can't remember where I posted something, but I remember posting it and then can't find it. Then my only choice is to fall back to Google.
Also isn't really fair telling n00bs to use the search instead of making pointless useless threads if the search is broken.
