In general, perhaps. But not really something that would explain the mass exodus though.

We has the same problem at the maxima forums. IB takeover, massive complaints. Not as personal anymore, corporate run etc..... All legitimate.

I can totally understand the move away for paying for premire status. As that feature has lost it's original purpose.

But the site is what you make of it ultimately.

I'd be interested in a more detailed explanation via pm if anyone would be interested in doing that.

It's simple. I loved the forums back in the day, and I spent a lot of time on them and posted a lot. It's just not fun for me anymore, and I've always said I was there for my entertainment only. It's no longer entertaining.

This is mostly directed at my350z.

Why delete all your posts though? Never understood the "take your toys and going home" mentality of it. Who would that punish? IB? Naw.

Not trying to punish IB, I just don't want anything I've posted coming back to haunt me years later and like to maintain some semblance/illusion of privacy.

Pictures, education and work details are my concern, not punishing IB.

I didn't join until after the change (I think)

But its obvious that this forum is in massive decline. I've seen some members get singled out about a comment in threads when 90% of the posts in that thread are the same, if not worse.

Premier is pretty much a waste of money...I've seen the claim as to where your payment contributes to...but where does it really go?

But someone made a good point about frustration turning to anger...which is what may have happened to a few mods. And the bans and threatening of bans have gone up significantly.

idk. This is the first forum I've ever been active on a daily basis and the garbage is getting old. I honestly think that most of (if not all) of the old school guys become mods for a day and clean this place up...since they're the ones that pretty much pioneered the forum to begin with.

Same here, I used to spend almost four hours a day (or more) on here, now it's once a day for a few minutes if that.

Im on here almost all day every day... I guess Im kinda immune to the **** that goes around here.

Its natural for people to grow out of a forum. It was the same way when I was on scionlife.

Yes it is.
Interests change, people change, etc
But when members leave because they're fed up that nobody is listening to their feedback, that's different.

That's it for me, I just asked Shane to turn me light blue too. Time for some new mods to enjoy the ride
