If I was trying to market a site to vendors, that would be that last ting I would want to do.

 

^Yep. I've never seen anyone mention that specific aspect before, but yes, you do have a very good point.

If they are going to continue withholding custom avatars to all but premiere members (which I still don't understand BTW) there could at least be some "snazzy" looking avatars.

Back when I first joined, finding an avatar was a game of "lesser of evils" you would think maybe we would have at least a G35 coupe and Sedan from each color they came in... but no, apparently it's more important to have a half-dozen Stewie Griffin avatars

It does cheapen the site overall though. Both in the eyes of members and the public at large.
