what rules do mods/admins have to follow?

Wondering if someone can point me to the guidlines, rules, and regulations administrators and moderators are supposed to abide by?

-not a generalized guideline, but the actual guidelines, rules, regulations, and/or roles provided by the forum

Hmmm... For those of you who don't actually know... Lust was mentioned alongside Zeroscythe by Lawrence at Strafe in that locked thread regarding the resoundingly bogus Mrev2- That was locked and Zero was banned at 2240 or so, and this thread was opened at 0200. Not sure about guilt by association... at least, not until this question creeped up.

Me thinks the process of deductive reasoning reveals the answer to why it creeped up at all!

Also in my 0500 zen state, I predict a link to the following thread:

CRYSTAL BALL

Preeeeeeeetty sure that if a betting man were to wager a thousand pennies that the mods' "actual guidelines, rules, regulations, and/or roles" would have something to with the enforcement of the items addressed in the preceeding thread, that betting man would stand a reasonable chance of filling his pockets with coins.

My post was very tongue-in-cheek and phrased in a way to not point fingers.

And so, for now... we wait...

Yes there are guidelines. Everyone who is on the staff has access to our guidelines and are expected to abide by them. We don't have any issues with anyone on the staff not following our guidelines. And of course we are expecting to follow and model the forum rules.

If you have a specific concern please contact myself or another Administrator. Thanks.

I understand that people may get upset if they or their friend's is banned but this is never done lightly. Research, communication with both sides (if applicable) and discussion among the staff occurs prior to someone being banned.

I thought I answered your question. The staff guidelines for the staff aren't posted on the general forun so no I can't point you to them.
