I propose a pull down tab to the left of the thread title box when creating a new thread. This will be a state abbreviation for the OP's location.


This will be mostly relevent in the Classifieds section to help people sort through the listings easier. There is nothing more frusterating than looking a for a body part you've been looking for then finding out it is located 900 miles away from you when the title says local pick-up only! Why should you have to open the ad only to find disappointment! This would save people time and simply the classified section.

Also very helpful in the regional sections to help figure out who is in your state instead of simply by region.

This is a night and day difference. I came from Maxima.org and they recently started doing this a few months back.
