virus pop ups? Android NOTE 8

Not sure why,.... but when I look for information on this site I always get a pop-up/redirect that my phone is infected? wanting me to download a virus cleaner from the google play store?(click-bait)
the phone is only a few weeks old, and ONLY does it on G35driver.com. I tried browesing with my wife's phone, a friends phone- all do the same. it's not the device!

my work around is to view it on my phone in "desktop" view.

why does the mobile view force this on us?

lots of great info here- but it has to be coded in the mobile site to trigger this activity?

anyone else seen this?

It's not your phone, the mobile site has a lot of malicious advertisement redirects. The moderators do their best to stop bad advertisements but it's always a battle on sites like these, and G35DRIVER is one of the worst unfortunately. It would be nice if mobile view had NO advertisement banners but then they don't get that munney.

Some folks use the GarageTalk app and subscribe this site but you lose a lot of the functionality.

I use mobile chrome and go to site settings and force block popups which helps with the "your phone is infected with a bazillion viruses" popup but does nothing for the page redirects.

Hey guys,

Ad partners ads get hacked and serve them up to us. I'll let IB know, thanks.

The mobile site is the worst of these, sounds like there's some malicious adds. Sucks since I don't have an ad blocker on my phone. I really wish G35DRIVER supported TapaTalk and we wouldn't have this issue. This is currently the only forum I frequent that I have to view on a mobile browser.

I've found that clearing my browsing history and cookies helps. Just sucks having to re-log into websites. Plus the problem just comes back eventually.

Hey guys,

These malicious ads are not unique to G35 or IB. IB is working on a solution but it's not an easy fix.

https://product.voxmedia.com/2018/1/...to-secure-them

For now please consider viewing the site on the Desk Top version from your mobile device. I'll update with good news concerning a fix soon, I hope.
