g35 coupe forum is becoming the new OT!

It seems that everyone is posting their OT questions and threads in the coupe forum. I know the coupe forum is the most populated, but that's probably because people want to read tech stuff about the coupe, and not about who the next "miss G35driver" is, or how "planters doesn't make cheese ***** anymore".

Sorry, but we need to educate members into following the posting rules and posting questions in the correct forums.

Thanks, that's all for my suggestion.

Hooman

I stopped visiting the coupe forum a long time ago. It's lousy with useless posts and outright moronic people. Now I spend my time trying to excercise these demons from the sedan forum.

Posting in the wrong forum is a huge issue, and a very time consuming one to look after. We have to rely on members to to read and abide by the rules and to do what they can to 'lighten the load'.
You can imagine the scope of the problem with nearly 30k members generating thousands of posts per day which should all be read, not to mention pm's, requests, complaints, fights, breach of rules, site improvements/changes, yada yada yada......

Perhaps if certain members behaved somewhat better and required less time dealing with, that time could be spent elsewhere on other pressing issues.

... but alas, when things go wrong, and we have fights to deal with, discipline to dispense, and endless posts to evaluate in such matters, there just aren't enough hours available to get everything done...........

As the saying goes......these things are on "The List"............

This is a more valid viewpoint than that guy in the other thread Brittain. People can post and respond to what they want but it should be in the proper forum.

And he has CONSTRUCTIVE criticsim when he writes:

I support this 1000%. When I want education I want to skip the BS but when I want to have fun I should know just where to look for that too.

It sounds like it always comes down to lack of man power in the Admin department. Are there enough Admins?

Sounds reasonable to me. But I'm just a lowly Premier Member.

haha...I don't want to get this into a hierarchy of status.

I don't think this is so much the admins responsibilty as it is the moderators. Moderators need to be someone who should have the power to move threads, delete threads as it sees fit. It should then be able to request members be put on timeout, banned, kicked, etc when applicable. I know we have moderators here, but I don't know what power they have. Leave the admins to deal with issues such as improvements, discipline, requests, breach of rules, etc.

Just my 2 cents.

Quite true Hooman. It's become quite a catch all for everything, particularly a lot of "other things" but the G Coupe. There are also a lot of posts with wrong or foolish information or advice.
It's unfortunate but probalby soemthing we have to live with.
