Thumbs up Coupe PIC w/o the blue lights

I finally figured out what has been bothering me about the Coupe Concept look.
It's those lame a$$ blue headlights.

Even when I saw it in person at Detroit .... something bothered me that spoiled the look.

Here's a pic I took at Detroit, with the blue P.shopped out.
JMO...... NOW the car looks more together

^True, but they make the car look surreal. inTgr8r's photoshop gives a better impression of what the production car will look like.

The utter lack of color in the headlight housing makes my brain hurt. For some reason the photoshoped pics don't look right, like they don't belong at all.

Good job removing the door though, just missing the mirror. lol

LOL... for me the blue does the same thing.... ouch

It's just that those lights are all about show business.......
They've done the same thing before.

The production headlights will be much less dramatic;
which is why I wanted to get a more realistic look.

The M Sport has a similar blacked out look.

^^Those pics are just the show car.
They often eliminate cut lines on concept cars.

It'll likely be similar to the ones on the sedan.

There is no frickin way the blue background in those headlights will pass US DOT unless they show blue ONLY when the car is parked and off -- maybe they are only parking lights, and if so that would be cool IMO.

Know why ... because it's highly illegal to have any blue lights on cars while driving around because the police use blue to pull people over, and they don't want people getting confused when everyone is running around with blue lights on there cars.

It's not that i like or dislike the blue, it's that the stark black abd white headlights just aren't right, like it's missing a reflection of something or some kind of color in there. Maybe it's because the headlights look too detailed? I'm having a hard time putting my finger on it, but something isn't right.
