Thank you for finding that article ... I was scrambling to find it on the WindsorStar.com site and it lead me to nothing. Glad that Canwest is a conglomerate and prints the same thing across the many papers it owns.

There was just a huge meeting with the Infiniti North America factory reps about the upcoming models and when they will be arriving for sales in the showrooms. People can just read the paper and read about rumors but I'll just keep all the rest of the info I know to the special few then.
Yes the media has been known to make a few mistakes for sure, especially when it's the food editor or similiar writing the story. As InTgr8r posted below the Nissan Canadian prez seems to be writing that article himself and suggests the spring availability. I know that the Canadian release meeting is taking place right now in Whistler, BC.

If you have something else to share I am sure members would enjoy hearing it.

The meeting in Whistler, BC is the national meeting for the sales reps to promote the 2007 G35 sedan (RWD + AWD models)... this is what the Infiniti of Windsor general mgr told me today. He told me that nothing has been confirmed (at least, to his knowledge) of the next gen g35c.

Yes, absolutley right. I know the GM and sales manager at my dealer well and see them every couple of weeks. They're saying the same thing. No news at all yet and they insist they don't find out much before the public either.

And sometimes we know things even before they do.

2007 g35 coupe will be the same as the ones we know.

The 2008 g35 coupe will be the one you see as the 'concept' from the 2006 Detroit Autoshow. Of course, some things from the concept won't be on the actual production model (ie need sideview mirrors, no full glass roof, I doubt 20s for rims). ** This is just speculation -- nothing has been confirmed what will be equipped on the next gen coupe **

The big thing about this thread is that the Nissan Canada president has said the new coupe will be out in the spring.

Not early enough for me ! I had to renew my current lease for a year as the 2007 coupe was not available. ..... I got my 2004 coupe 3 years ago and was anticipating the 2007 it to be released at the same time of the year... so my 3 year lease was up and no new coupe....

+1

This sounds for more plausable/realistic to me. Not to mention the fact that, hey, it's better than fall or winter.
