Didn't say GTR ver... but definitely 'vert
It makes more sense to me for a brother to the Z drop top. When I heard GTR vert I thought way to much body flex etc.

When are we going to hear some details on the coupe???

Question for you experts- If the AWD Coupe DOES happen, will this mean that there will be no "sport" package? Or, will there be a G35/37X and a separate G35/37S?

Ideally, I'd love to get the AWD Coupe, which is primarily the reason I pulled my deposit on a '07 G35 Sedan. However, would the AWD version be missing some of the sport features like sport seats, unique front fascia, sport suspension, sport wheels, etc.??? If the AWD was, in fact, missing these features, that would suck big time.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Hard to say... but I would be suprised if there wasn't a sport AWD version.
I don't think they would treat it the same as the sedan... this is a different type of buyer in this segment.

All we can do is wait & hope

It's way to early to tell and no one knows any of this for sure. IMHO it's highly unlikely sport preference would be given to the RW version only.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I know it's all speculation at this point.

I guess the best case scenario would be to have both, as inTgr8r alluded to- AWD Sport model!!!

Man I have looked all over the place for at least some "informed speculation" on an AWD '08 Coupe.

Great thread!

I'm going to hold off on the sedan then unless it get's confirmed that there WILL NOT be an AWD coupe. I can not wait.

Given Infiniti information dissemination when do you think they will confirm/ deny? NY Auto show?

Thanks for the great discussion.

more to the rumour mill

All,

I went over to the Infiniti dealership ... I went to HS with the manager. He's telling me that the top brass told the sales force there will be an AWD option for Canadian G35 coupes next year. That probably means it'll happen for the US-models as well.

Again -- this is all talk. We know the Nissan Canada president published in September that the coupe was supposed to come out in the spring and how accurate was that information???

As much as I would love AWD.
Also have to look into if it will be available as a 6MT.

I would miss the sexiness of running staggered.
