I guess my feeling is that the sketch is only a 3/4 artists rendering. I think it will look much meaner in person. Or at least I hope so...

I like the sketch version more than the concept. Cant wait to see a real figure of the sketch.

IMO, not as bad as cleaning the sports rims on the current G35 sedan.

It looks nice, but the new rounded front end makes it look too much like the Acura RL. I like the sharp lines of the original much more.

Trust me... the 08 Coupe will be just as good on paper. In fact, it may outperform the 335i in some ways. However, like some how already demonstrated, you can get mad power out of BMW's twin turboed 6 cyl fairly easily through certain mods.

Not living under a rock

Under a rock? Was not impressed with those 07 improvements.

If you call the 2007 sedan interior as improved, then not really much of anything to get all excited about for the 2008 G35 coupe. Top notch quality is your opinion, thought the M45 interior was 10x better. Seems that it will be a recycled interior treatment if Infiniti uses the 2007 sedan interior.

10X better?? Not likely. The M45 is obviously in a higher class of car and one would expect a slighter better quality of materials, fit and finish compared to the G. That's only logical. You get what you pay for.

If you don't see an improvement in the new G interior you would likely be one of very few that doesn't see it. It would make sense the G Coupe would use the same basic design and materials as the newly redesigned '07 sedan since it shares the same model designation. That certainly wouldn't make it a "recycled interior" since it will be revised for the coupe just as the sedan was. Whether you get excited about it is certainly a personal reaction, although there is not much better out there in this class of car.

The 08 Coupe will be spectacular for sure, but given that every body and their brother (manufacturers that is) is copying it, I won't be buying it.

Yup my frd got a 335i and iam just in love with it, the tail light of the 335i is just absolutely amazing its SOOOOO AGGRESIVE! and of course the angel eyes is amazly attractive too. The interior is also very nice and the most breath taking is the red interior >,<! the logic7 audio system is ++++ the stock exhaust sounds reli hawt just like the G/Z. Now that the Altima coupe is official and its like soemwhat identical to the 08 G i reli think Nissa/Infiniti made a big big big mistake altho a G is always gonna be a G and Altima is always gonna be a Altima. My point is with so many competitons the 08 G reli needs something to stand out to dominate the market once again, so far the 335i is a sure win imo

I am just concerned they will wimp out and "soften" the final car. The sketch already looks like are doing that.

The G needs to be distinctive and aggressive to stand out and say something different. If Infiniti is trying for elegant, they will loose out to BMW. Infiniti just can't compete (yet). Give us something different, not another me-too soft-edge blah design.

That is what I liked about the concept -- it had some hard edges. If it keeps those (primarially the deep rocker cuts), I will be happy. If not, there is some tough competition coming out that will be worth a look, and worth the wait to see what happens (6.4 Challenger/LS-7-type Camaro if GM can put a good interior in it).
