Magazine reviews are so conservative though

Actually the converse is the case. The magazines have no problem abusing the car they are testing with insane launch RPMs, and they take many runs and only publish the best time. Furthermore, if conditions aren't perfect, like runs at high elevation, they will just subtract time from their best run to compensate.

And yes, you are wrong. I'm not going to be spending my time searching for information your not aware of.

That makes for a pretty short list...but my next car will probably be a G37, C6, next-gen Camaro, or Pontiac G8. Out of that batch, I expect the G37 is going to be the most refined, with the best interior and features, but not quite as fast in a straight line.

Anyway, the G37 looks awesome to me (except the front bumper) but since I'm used to driving LS1 cars for the last 8 years, and LT1 cars before that, it would take some adjustment to change to a high-revving 6 cyl, even with 330 HP.

Anyone know if a stock G37 (with auto tranny, I like 'em darnit) will at least break into the high 13s, at over 100 MPH trap speed? That's kind of my baseline, about where I am now with the LS1 GTO. Based on the power and weight of the G37 it looks about like a 100 MPH car to me, but it's hard to know until the production cars get here.
It'll be faster than your ls1 gto was (stock). The Hp:weight ratio is slightly better than the 07 Z which run 13.3-13.6 consistently @102+ mph. 100 MPH car? Funny. I suspect top speed to be near 160mph.

That's what I thought.

You know just as well as I do you tried to find a review and couldn't... so you posted that crap instead.

"100mph car" means it hits 100 in the 1/4. Not referring to the top speed at all.

Boys, boys, boys...

Thank you. That's what I wanted to know... See how easy that was?

Sorry, but I've got better things to do than log into some internet forum 50 times a day to look for the slightest updates or details and rehearse them in front of a mirror to commit them to permanent memory. I have a life...

OH, I'm obviously an idiot.

BTW the same power:weight ratio than the 07 Z I suspect it will do 104-105 in the 1/4 mile.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic in the first part or not, but okay. Sorry?

But hopefully it's broader powerband and gearing will yield another 1-2 mph in the quarter than the Z. Just wishful thinking, though. I havent compared the gearing in the 2 cars yet.
