When the 07 Sedan hit the showrooms in late October of last year, we also heard that no discounts will be offered for a number of months. That wasn't the case at all. There were members here from the tri-state area (where competition is quite stiff) that were able to negotiate some fabulous discounts from day 1. Heck, I was able to negotiate $1200 off of MSRP and my dealer is the only one around for hundreds of miles.

I just think dealers that are saying there is no room to move off of MSRP are just playing the game.
This is exactly what i'm thinking and this is my situation as well. We have Garcia Infiniti and it's the only one in the State I think.. So I hope they dont try to stalemate the situation knowing that they're the only dealership here so you pay what they want you to pay. But i've been talking to a guy for quite some time at Infiniti and been keeping in touch with him letting him know that i'm serious about one of these cars. Me and him have become good buddies when I see him there at Infiniti.

What is the most you guys have gotten off of a brand new car?

Not if you tell them that you have deposits on the BMW 335i and Lexus IS350... and show them the papers.

jdm_inspire is right.

In fact, I was just putting the finishing touches on proofing an article on THAT VERY topic.

"Avoiding the Greedy Dealer"
