Which do you like better?
I think the current OEM 19s are the best factory rims on the market, tasteful yet aggressive. The new OEM 19s look to much like the Lexus wheels and are too civilized for me.

I don't like either too much. I like the 18's and 17's for the coupe the best. I just wished they were bigger. the M45 19's are the best 19's for OEM's. The engineering for the 1st gen G's 19's is probably the best in the OEM market though, but the looks are "blah". the new 19's are too busy for the G. They looks like Niche's or something. yuck!
OEM rims.......
I like the '06 19" rims the best, WTF they even look good on sedans! If they
only had bigger lips, you know at least 3" or so they would be as good as
aftermarket.

Erm.... can we get pics of the OEM 19s for the 05-07 please?
I have no idea what they look like.

I prefer the wheels on the current 06-07 6MT:
1. Because they are FORGED,
made by Rays, probably a lot(?) lighter than those on the 2008. (We need to know the weight of the wheels + tires (individual weights) on the G37. (I posted a question on this with Infiniti Michael awhile back. No doubt he's been too busy with the Beeg Launch to worry about this. In time we'll be getting some answers on this from owners, etc.)
2. Because they are probably easier to keep clean than 2008, (I do not own a G yet -- waiting for G37 -- have S2000 now).
3. Because the 2008 10-spokers are CAST.
Made by SSR(?).
4. I don't think the new wheels are actually el crappo in the "looks" department.
The new G's wheels are OK, but IMHO, Infiniti got em' wrong. The width of the radial spoke should be reversed; i.e., thicker toward hub and thinner at the mating point with the outer part of the rim..
Will probably replace G37's wheels with HRE or Racing Harts.
Unfortunately, this is like what the Monkey said when he peed in the cash register: "It runs into money!"

I was never really fond of the forged 19"s -- the design looked a little too typical of aftermarket rims.. and a little too thin. I also dont like it when the spokes bend in instead of running straight to the lip -- this makes the rims look smaller than they really are i think. Can't argue about the weight savings tho...
I like this design actually -- its the same spoke design used on the 5-spoke OEM's on the later 350z's.. and is also similar to that found on earlier GTR concepts. For that reason, I like both the 19's and 18's being offered on the G37...
