but look the G35 sedan nav package is $2,100 while the G37 's nav package is $2,200 w/ a rearview monitor .... cant' really compare both pricing the coupe will always be a little more than the sedan b/c of production numbers

Yeah, I had estimated the price for my G37 and for the most part I was dead on. However, I figured the premium package would be at most $2,500, but it's still cool, not a big deal.

According to Infiniti's web site, an 07 Coupe w/Sport and Premium stickers for $38,615; $825 less than your pricing. An 08 Journey w/Sport and Premium will sticker for $40,765; a $2,150 increase.

The 07 Sedan price only increased by about $250 from the 06. If you add $300 for 08 standard XM and, say, $300 for the iPod integration, that means you are paying $1,300 for the V-VEL.

Although, as I previously posted, the surprise increase was the Premium Pack jumping from $2,350 to $3,200 with iPod integration and audio soundstage as the only additions to the Premium Pack. Is the iPod integration really $700?

The difference of $3,200 actual versus your $2,500 estimate is $700. $700 may not be a big deal to you, but it may very well be to others.

What may be more important, as a few others have already posted, is that the G37 price advantage now shrinks by about $1,000, or more. If someone is paying sticker for a G37 versus a street discounted price for the competition, the competition may now be a better buy for some than it was before the G37 pricing was announced. And, if someone is paying over sticker, the competition may really look better.

Someone (I think droptopgal) had previously posted that she was buying an IS350 because she refused to pay sticker and the Infiniti dealers in her city would not deal at all on G37's. I can't remember her IS 350 price, but now I would guess it will cost her less for an IS 350 than for a comparable G37. She is probably smiling right about now.

Again, since the G37 cannot be compared w/ the pricing of the G35 sedan -- it is a little less due to the volume that is built in the sedan over the coupes. The pricing is all from Infiniti direct down to the wire.

It looks like the G37 is not that cheap anymore. It's still a little cheaper than the 335, but not that much if you are considering other variables like free maintenance for 4 years and better gas mileage for the 335.

just my opinion...

I was thinking of getting Journey + Prem + Sport + splash/spoiler... but then when I saw the pdf file of the specs, the moonroof is also its own little add-on. Is it not part of the premium package? 3200 + 1000(moonroof) or is it only 3200? Since the first item on the premium package says moonroof... can someone help me?

$44,000 for a fully loaded G37 isn't really shocking... comparing it to Lexus's IS350 fully loaded it's about $1,000 cheaper and comparing it to BMW's 335i it's $10,700 cheaper. I would have to say that it's a great price for a car in this kind of market. Mercedes is way up there in price so I wont even bother and Audi's A5 is still months and months away so I wont bother with that either but it's speculated that it's going to be around $40,000 base price.

I hope people actually realize that the G37 is very well priced as compared to its competitors... especially with a comparably loaded 335i and stop comparing it to the G35 sedan. lol

The moonroof is along with the premium package if you get the premium package. The separate option is really only for the people who want a moonroof but not the premium package.
