Here's one at another angle.

It's obviously Blue "something".

Haha nice try, the color is indeed Amethyst Graphite and not Platinum Graphite. AG is pretty much PG with a slight purple tone in bright light. You want to prove it to yourself?

Those pictures I posted are from the same Autospies drive as the one you referenced:

Go ahead and look at the license plate of that car and the license plate of the car in these pictures:

So the car is one and the same, again Amethyst GRAPHITE!

What!? that's the same pic I used originally to illustrate what Amethyst looks like in the sun! why would I then say it's Blue Slate

Great! thanks for that new shot GChick35, does that look like Blue Slate to you now Sweeet P!? Oh wait I forgot that probably looks like platinum graphite to you too...

Hey! Get off my back, Bentley man. Just because I though it was Athens Blue doesn't mean I need glasses. Wait...I already have glasses.

You can in some, but are you going to tell me the purple is anywhere near as dark as the one in GChick35's shots? Doesn't matter anyways, her last post solidly illustrates it's Blue Slate without a doubt. Now we can just look forward to hearing what Sweeet P has to say about this...

From GChick35's newest pic. I'll man up...I concur that the car in that pic is Blue Slate. I gotta say that those first 2 pic really fooled me. Anyhow...if that's how Blue Slate looks in the sun....why on earth would you consider it.

Props Orbie, you can come over this weekend and help me pick out a paint color for my house!

No man that was a good debate, I have to admit you had the vein in my forehead going at times though

It really did look deceiving in the other pictures, but that's probably because of the sunlight and exposure on the camera as Stefanzo pointed out. If you looked at it in person it would probably look more like G35Chick's last picture.

Haha, got my own house to tend to this weekend man, but I trust you'll make the right decision so long as it doesn't have any purple in it j/k!

I am actually going to be painting my house this weekend. But don't worry...As sure as my name is "Barney", you know I'll choose the right color. Just gotta close all the shutters...no sunlight!

By the way, that debate helped me to decide on my G37 color.....IP it is!!

The pictures are really fooling. I've seen the Blue Slate on a G35 sedan in person and it really doesn't look THAT bright in person. When I first saw those 2 pics, I was really confused myself what that color was also. Have you ever seen the blue slate in person under sunlight? The 3rd picture that Gchick put up is more the color.

Also... choosing a color is purely based on own taste. I think "Why on earth would anyone get silver?" but I know that I personally don't like the color silver but I know that MANY MANY other people love that color (and shades of it).

Sorry Yimbie, but you picked the wrong color to get. It's wasn't all that stunning when it rolled pass by. IP or OB would be the color of choice. Your color under the sunlight looks like the Hello Kitty stuff I got.

Damn girl...go easy on the kid. Truthfully, I've seen the Blue Slate Sedan plenty of times at the dealers during different times of the day. And I would have to say that I have never seen it as light or as purpleish as the first 2 pics you took. Why do you think I was soooooooo positive that it could not be Blue Slate. Besides, Yimbie obviously has chosen that color based on looking at it numerous times in pics and in person. Even he was surprised how the first 2 pics came out.

Lot of it depends on the camera also. No offense but her pics look like they are from a cell phone camera...but I could be wrong.
