G37 Manuals

For some reason, the regular owner's manual hasn't been released yet, however the manual for the Navigation system has been released. You can download it here. Just thought some of you guys might want to get a head start on familiarizing yourself with the HD based Navi.

after glancing at that manual (will read in its entirety when car arrives) all i can say is WOW.. page after page of well thought out technology. i would have never expected these car navs to offer so much functionality to the general public as most will go un-noticed. I've owned (and currently own) many handheld gps's via pdas, laptops and cars. This nav system is by far many times more advanced than the one in my 2003 g coupe.

I love how if the AC is set to auto and you issue a voice command.. the ac lowers to reduce background noise.. then resumes afterwards. common sense stuff but often overlooked.

i am a technologist at a firm in boston where it's my job to seek out new technologies and trends.. boy does this nav have good technology!

The Navigation manual is probably online first since it is more than likely shared between other Infiniti models.

BM, if you are a techie guy like I am, you are definitely going to love using all of the technology this car has to offer. I issue voice commands for virtually everything I do inside the car. It's awesome. This is my first car ever with Navi, so I really don't have much to compare it to, but I LOVE the navi in my G. The graphics are incredible.

If you want to familiarize yourself with the different voice commands, you may want to check this out.

I just hope the voice activation works better than my acura. It got frustrating asking for the radio to change and having the A/C start blasting away. (and always when I was showing off to someone)

I think it works pretty darn well myself. You go through voice training so it recognizes your voice and how you say the different commands. IIRC, you can train up to 3 different user's voices on the system. One thing I have noticed, if you have any background noise like people talking or windows down, it's not nearly as accurate.

I'm not 100% familiar with offets, etc., but in the "GI.pdf" (General Information) it has the following next to "Road wheel/offset mm (in)":

Front: 19 X 8-1/2J Aluminum/43 (1.69)
Rear: 19 X 9J Aluminum/45 (1.77)

Is that what you're looking for?
