over the weekend, my car randomly started making loud clicking noises from behind the radio immediately upon starting up the car. I thought it was the GPS motors breaking at first, but I think it is actually coming out of the radio. it sounds like when the CD player is checking for CDs (I don't have any CD's loaded) and it makes a clicking sound 4 times before finally stopping.

anybody have a similar issue? i'm so confused why it would suddenly start doing this.

really, nobody has ever had a similar problem with their radio before? someone here has to know.

 

The ausio unit has a built in hard drive like a computer and sometimes they do make noise from time to time

get ready to get another radio or an aftermarket one because that one is about to go out like 75% of the people OEM radio on this fourm has. Infiniti make good cars but there OEM radio sucks. Mines don't read CD's any more and it makes that same clicking sound on start up.
