VDC problems and Dash brake light

I have a 08 G37 coupe. Just bought it from a private seller it was on a 2 year lease before that. Last owner had it for about 3 months and had his wheels stolen off the car. The Wheels were replaced at the dealership BUT with 2010 wheels. The 2010 wheels apparently dont fit the 08 tire pressure sensor, so I always get a low pressure warning on the dash.

The tire pressure thing isn't a big deal... But I'm not sure if the other warnings on my dash are related to that.

It usually occurs when i go from a stop at a red light or stop sign; the BRAKE warning light will remain on for about 5 seconds after I get going, and then the VDC Off light as well as the SLIP light will go on and remain on until I turn off the car. Pressing the VDC switch does nothing. However it doesn't feel like VDC is really off. I think it's just the light, although I'm not 100% sure about that.

The manual states the brake light will go on if your brakes are faulting in one way or another however the brakes are in good shape so I don't think there is a problem with them quite yet.

I'd like to know if anyone has experienced this, if there is an easy fix or if it's worth the time and money I could potentially have to put in to fix this. Thanks.

1st. check your brake fluid levels. The VDC and slip lights will come on as well as the brake light in your cluster if it is low. if thats not it, check your pads and rotors.

I could top off the brake fluid, the levels not low but maybe topping it off could fix it.

I had same exact indications, brake light would come on for a while then go off and the "CDC off" light was on almost all the tome along with one other light. I topped off the brake fluid, either DOT 3 regular temps, or DOT 4 high temps, (both are compatible and can be mixed. This solved all my dash lights! They all are off now!

Tire inflation light goes off when tires successfully inflated to 33 PSI all the way around

its a common problem, but on page 3 post #35, the problem is solved. so if that sounds like your problem, then go to...

yeah it has nothing to do with your tire pressure but maybe it will help...

I may have said it the wrong way.. The Tire Pressure is fine. It's the tire pressure light and the sensor. I have an 08 G with 08 tire pressure sensor on 2010 wheels, the dealership recommended I upgrade to a 2010 tire pressure sensor to fix this but it's really not that big of a deal to me.

I was just wondering if have the '10 wheels would also cause the problem with the brake, VDC and Slip light. I'm going to top off the fluids like NG and Alan said tomorrow and see if it still happens.

The brakes are in good condition, no noises or visible problems.

Strange that the dealer would not offer to fix/upgrade the tpms since they put on the newer wheels...
