G37 common issues??

ok, i currently have a g35 coupe but ive been recently thinking about upgrading to a g37s coupe..... i was wondering if the 37 had some of the same common issues that the 35 had or if they fixed most of them..... i.e. window motors, clutch fluid boiling, suspension bushings, compression rods, gas tank fill issue, seat tearing at the corner, etc.... the main reason is cuz im at 67k now and i can tell the 2-3 synchros are starting to get a little ehhh.... that problem doesnt exist in the 37, correct? since the cd009 was out before the 37 came out... also, are there any common issues that i havent mentioned that might be good to know about before looking at one? also, if it has the bose with built in navi, will it stream music via bluetooth? i really dont wanna have to do another DD install, but all 37s have the aux hookup, dont they? i could live with that i guess... o yea, do they also have the WOT limiter in first gear like the g35? cuz uprev will be in the future

Might want to ask people that own a G37 instead. Also the G35 and G37 have nothing in common, so no they will not share issues, but they do have a list of their own.

There is a handful of us, but not many. But most people here have no specific knowledge of the G37. Best try their forum, also there is a decent number of previous G35 owners there too.

Just replaced a 6 speed in a 37 coupe last week due to grinding going into 6th. Also have another one out back now with the synchros whining like hell. These transmissions are just not meant to be ripped on like race cars..lol I'm sure there is plenty of people out there that can build one bulletproof though
None of the other common G35 issues though.

I owned the 2003.5 with all the problems you stated....It was all fixed for free but it was a pain in the *** to take it to the dealer every week. I did take a chance and buy the g37s and had not issue for the past 3 years 40k miles. The most expensive thing i changed was the tires.

Is the G37 6 speed gearbox any different from the later G35 and later 350Z? I'm asking because I've flogged my G35 6MT coupe (sold it a while back) on the track a few times and my 07 350Z for over two years on the track and had no problems. Even jammed it into 2nd when I was trying to get 4th.........talk about syncro whine....and still had no problems. I was under the impression that these gearboxes were pretty robust.

I'm probably going to buy an 09 G37S coupe this weekend. It only has 16k miles on it and looks new. I'd hate to think it has a flawed gear box. I won't ever put it on the track and my wife will be driving it but I don't want to have to baby the tranny.

My 07 G35x has had power window issues and a front wheel bearing go bad but has otherwise been fine. Interior is pretty much identical to the G37 coupe.

Which G37 site are you guys referring to? I'd like to ask the same question as the OP so I can look things over on the car before I buy it.
