Hit and Run -- G35 beat up, Civic murdered!

EDIT: Updated pics, page 3 post #38!!!!

I posted this in our local thread, but thought I'd share w/ the rest of the community.

Well, early morning yesterday the cops knocked on my door and asked me if we had cars parked in the street. Me being half asleep didnt realize what had happened until I looked up. My reaction was: OH F*CK!!!

The brother in law and his wife has their car in the driveway, so the wife and I had to park on the street last night. My wife's civic was parked behind mine. Looks like some AHOLE must've been drunk or speeding down the street, nails my wife's civic in the rear really good, it then lunges forward hitting the G and totally smashing up the rear.

The cops followed fluid from accident scene and found the car that hit ours a few blocks down, but nobody answered the door.

So today, while speaking w/ the insurance agent -- He tells us that the guy that hit us is insured through them also. Now here's the kicker!!!! The guy had just bought the car 12 hrs prior to hitting our cars. I was amazed that by how my wife's car looks that he managed to drive off still!! Now ain't that some sh*t or what!?!

Anyhow, you guys think the G will be considered totaled? I know the civic is a goner for sure. The pictures are crap because it was taken w/ camera phone -- And yeah, the cars are dirty as sh*t. Well, the pictures speak for themselves.

Holy ****.At least they caught him. It might be totaled but wont know for sure until it's on a frame machine. Hopefully the guy gets charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

poor G!

dpends on teh insurance company if they'll consider your car totalled. looks repairable...
if it was me, ill try to get it totalled, nothing worse than knowing ur car was in a really bad accident...and they put it back together.

Well, I dont know what car he was driving. But, his side mirror was no bigger than the one on the G -- found it by the cars when looking around. So it couldn't have been huge.

If you look, it seems that their car practically went right under my wifes.

I do also hope it gets totaled -- But we'll see. If not, I'm bringing it to the best shop they got here. They do great work.

It's a 30mph zone... it's a school zone also.

Here in the winter, if you park on the street then it's alternate side parking depending on odd/even house #'s. And yes, it's definitely legal.

The cop had said to me that he drove by 30 minutes prior and everything was fine.

sorry to see that. Your g is fixable just from your picture i would say 6 to 7 thousand in damage. I dont think that they will total it for that. You looking at two to three weeks to fix. It might come down to the mileage on your car.

Well, the cars only got 68k miles on it, so we'll see.

My wife said when the insurance adjuster came to look at it, all he kept saying was: pretty car, pretty pretty card, this is so sad to see on such a nice car
