^so true on all points. I feel like I am going to roll over if I take a turn at anything over 10-MPH. I feel like I am going to break the brake pedal when I have to stop heavily. The gas gauge hops when I rev the engine lol.
...BUT regardless of all that; when you are stopped at the beginning of a straight road and mash the pedal...it's all worth it.

Great find Sean. I had a 72 Cutlass 442 in high school and miss that beast to this day. I would love to find one and rebuild it as a project car but I just don't have the time.
I think it's awesome this is a project for your son (wink, wink). You 2 will spend many happy hours on it together as he gets older. Well done!

I have a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS5 which I feel the same way about, but in reality the car handles like a lumber wagon, the brakes are a joke (very hard to stop at speeds over 100 mph) and it can pass everything on the highway except a gas station. You can actually see the gas gauge drop every time you floor it, no joking. I still love it because it makes me feel like I am 19 again every time I drive it.
Nova's and Beaumont were very popular, in high school I helped a buddy stuff a 427 into a 69 Nova. He twisted the frame on it a few months latter, funny.
