Custom G35 Sedan Rear Bumper *PIC INSIDE*

Sorry, it's not made. But my question is, what do you guys think I should do? I've shown this photoshop I did to a few people, but here are my options.
  1. Custom bumper.
  2. Wait for a vendor to come out with a bumper, something clean and not overly aggressive.
  3. Get an 03/04 bumper and put a rear lip on it.

The custom bumper will cost roughly $1k before paint. A vendor's bumper I'm guessing will cost half that. The 03/04 with rear lip would be about half that as well, possibly more than a vendor's bumper since I would have it molded.

Anyway, I did mention "PIC INSIDE" so here is the chop I did months and months ago.

I originally wanted to keep this on the hush and just do it, but I would like some input. I'm still leaning towards the custom bumper because my front is custom and as most of you know, I don't like doing the norm. I'd also be doing the quad exhaust. Posting this in the general section to see what others (non- 03-06 sedan guys) think.

I think there would need to be some fine tuning to where the lines are placed. But I think it would look pretty good imho

I think it could work Levon, particularly with the dual exhaust. I say go custom or with an 03/04 bumper with rear lip. You may be waiting a while for a rear bumper option from a vendor; and even then when its finally released you may not like it.

Lines would def have to flow. I just did a real quick chop. Found a bumper I liked, copied and pasted, adjusted to the body and did some slight color matching.

Custom bumper gets my vote. It looks great, its different, and it fits your VIP look.

Looks like you just spliced a CLS 63 rear end in there.

I think it could look good but there are some awkward lines in there that you would have to figure how to make work with the lines of your car. (Circled below) If you could just mold the bottom part with the exhausts into the exisiting rear end, that would be hot......lots of extra work though.

Yup..mentioned it previously that it is from a CLS. Thanks for the input everyone.

mjwalter, I'll do a chop with your suggestion to see what it looks like.

Missed where you said it was from a CLS....Sorry. If you could keep everything below the red line, I think that would look awesome....especially the body line on the side of the back bumper. I think it looks great with the side of your car. If you decide to build this, one thing to pay attention to is the spacing between the quad exhaust pipes. The CLS rear end may be wider than the G. If the pipes are too far apart (too close to the sides of the car), I think it could look wierd. You may need to cut the bumper in half and remove a section to get the spacing right. You may want to look at other Mercedes AMG models to see if there is one that fits better....C63 AMG maybe. I hope you decide to do it....I would love to see it.
