well guys after having my G for only 2 years and racking up 60k miles i traded her in for this monster. i know, i know, its a ford, and the first in my family tree lol. but im enjoying every minute, especially the engine growl.

The new 5.0 is an incredible car, stock it does the quarter mile in 12.xx seconds.. Ford has come a long way, and it shows in their cars now.

Congrats I guess I would have stuck with the G but we had a 99 v6 stang with 177k did 1 clutch 1 brake job changed the oil maybe every 7k and it ran like I champ.

Found On Road Dead, Drive Retruns On Foot. But all kidding aside, great pick. They are amazing cars. I drove one for a week and it handeled like a rusty shopping cart but dam did that car fly. Insteant power.

congrats on your new ride....seems like an obvious move to me....I am looking down the road as well. So in Oct. 2013 I will be looking to trade for 2010 BMW 2 dr 328(3 litre( 6 speed) or most likely a used 2011 FORD Mustang V6 (305hp) 6MT...30 mpg. and goes like stink (had a 87GT which was a real brawler. this car never let me down and ran perfect from day one..

 

To be honest with you, you just downgraded mustangs depreciate so bad and lose power very quick....race with another G now n see the difference...I've raced with a GT n won Also charger RT....American cars suck lol

 

^lamest stuff I've heard yet. The car got awarded best resale value in 2 door coupes class. And I also raced charger/challenger rt's in my G. Those cars weigh to much that's why they always lose. There's actually acouple of guys on the mustang forums who have more then 50k miles on their 2011 GT's and they are still running 11's with drag tires and tune.

 

Talk about depreciation, the G depreciated close to 8k over 2 yrs

 

^^^ I call BS. Our cars are slow and barely hang with the new v6 Mustang. Unless you FI you're not beating a new 5.0. Maybe a GT 4.6. They've really done some good upgrades to the new stangs. Suspension is a world of difference from the last gens. Congrats on the buy!
