Unhappy 03 Trunk Won't Release

Well... I went to work this morning. Put my bags in the trunk. Got to work and now the trunk won't open. No click sound, I assume it's some kind of fuse somewhere but I wouldn't know the first place to look. It's not the valet lock.

Any ideas?

my 05 does this on occasion, put the key in and turn it to the "on" position, then try again.

I wish man. I tried that and no luck. I've had to do that before when my door actually wouldn't close.

More stuff...

I checked the fuses. I'm not sure which one is the trunk, I assumed the one labeled "Trunk Light / DTLR" was it, but that's fine. What a pain in the *** this is.

There are lots of posts on this. Do a search. It's likely pinched wires in the trunk area where it opens. In the meantime there is a red coloured release tucked under the rear seat. Pull and the trunk will open.

Trunk wire harness has broken wires. Fix it.

trunk release

Can anyone tell me where the red handle is in the back seat to release the trunk? Lower seat, side or top?

middle of the seat, between the top and bottom. its usually tucked in there. pull that and the seat will fold down. then there is a tab connected to a wire in the top of the trunk, pull that. just take it easy on THAT wire, i pulled mine completely out and now i can't open my trunk at all =(
