Question Help! Lost Key, Now have no keys. Help!

I am in a bit of a pickel.. I lost the key to my 20004 G35 coupe along with fob. I can't open the car and move it. I bought it from a used car dealer 2 years ago and they only had one key. Of all the lost key searches I did it seems like I need atleast one key to get another key. I dont know what to do. Do you think an Infiniti dealer could help?
Darren

Go to the dealer with your VIN number and proof of ownership and they will cut you a new key...Be prepared to pay some coin though!

good luck

+1 ...This is the only thing you can do. You might have to bring the car with you so they can program the chip in the key.

Well I called the dealer..

Cost for the key $130
Cost for the fob $140
Cost to program $60

Cost of being an idiot for not getting another key sooner... Priceless.

Plus I have to have the car towed there...

Update...

I was able to get a local to come out and make me just a key. He did it for $200. That probably would have been the same as the dealer but I didnt have to get it towed there. Plus, I dont have to wait till Monday and have it towed there.

Next question,
If I get a key fob online what do I need? Now that I think of it this guy didnt leave me any code.

Thanks,
Darren

i think the dealer would have been a better move, and the dealer is never better.

FYI, I just had this done (lost my one and only key and fob; good thing I left the sunroof open) by a mobile locksmith. Took him about an hour to make a transponder key, but I didn't need a tow!

I have no FRIGGIN' idea! I drove into work and 99% of the time, I put my keys on my laptop when I get into my office.

I go to packup to go home..no key(s)! So pissed!

If you only have one key/fob, get a dupe...NOW! And don't buy knock offs from e-bay! They don't work! Stupid key I bought on e-bag has no transponder/chip in it! A-holes!

Well looks like you have this sorted out....

I did buy a 24 buck E bay key fob... easy to program.
Do you have a shop manual?

Mike
