how many miles to a tank are you getting? Does the low fuel indicator come on or are you only going until the needle gets low? Cars have a reserve amount of gas left in the tank when your "E" light goes on although 7 gallons does seem like quite a bit.
I'm having the ol' showing half over 3/4 full when I'm completely full. I fill when I get down to a 1/4 tank and I'm putting in 13 gallons. I threw some techron in a few weeks ago and it definitely helped. The gauge wasn't going over 3/4 tank before that.
Honestly this problem isn't something I'm very concerned with. Car runs, everything else works fine.. not gonna bother me if the tank reads 7/8 full. Then again, I'm not under warrantee anymore so as far as putting out the $500 (estimate from the dealer to replace both fuel sender units), no thanks.

My car has been at the dealership for the last 3 days to fix this issue. I told my service advisor about the TSB on the shutter valve and he knew what I was talking about but he said it was a rare issue and he had only seen 3 cars affected by it, but he told me he's ordering parts and I'd have my car back Monday. I guess we'll see. I have an 06 Coupe btw

i also have the same problem.. i have an 04 and im not under warranty anymore so there is no way im wasting money at infiniti unless i know what the problem is 100%. im thinking it could be a gauge problem. the gauge is telling us the car is almost empty and when we will it the tank isnt actually empty its just the gauge saying its empty. its just a theory i have to figure out how to check my theory now haha

I do mostly highway driving, albeit at around 70-80 mph, and I get around 350 gallons before the low fuel light comes on. When I fill up I usually take in 15 gallons, but does not go all the way to the full line.
I have 2004 coupe, no mods currently using my 17's (winter rims/tires)
