Tried searching and found nothing…

Problem = Today I put my key in the ignition and was not able to turn it. I figured maybe it was a security feature of some kind gone wrong but wanted to make sure.

This has only happened twice in the two months I have owned the car. Both times this has happened I have tried a number of things to get it going. The only thing that works is putting my car in neutral and letting the car role a foot or two then starting it again.

Anybody have any ideas about what’s wrong?

 

Wiggle the steering wheel and turn the key.

 

Sounds like the steering wheel locked. It does that when it's turned with out the key in the ignition.

Turn the wheel as you try turning the key.

commme on everyone knows that all steering wheels lock like that. :P

 

Yes, but I have never had a car that does not let you turn the key as well.
