So when our brakes get bad our traction control goes off???

So if I am understanding correctly, my Slip and VDC light is illuminated due to my brakes being worn. Doesnt that sound like the stupidest **** Infiniti has come up with? "Hey when our customers cars brakes go out lets make the traction control cut off too so the bad brakes and no traction will make a good pair in the rain".

So my question is do we have a brake service light?

I think that is only for brake fluid level low warning. That car cant tell if the brake pads are worn, it only know that the float in the brake fluid reservoir is low. I found this out after I replaced my pads and the level dropped. The VDC and slip lights came on until I topped it off with fluid.

Actually it does make sense. If there is any problem in the system it goes back to a default "safe" condition.

Your brake fluid is low. Go top it off.
