still having window issues

My window decided to start working again and then it quit and started and quit. Do I need to start with an exorcist or should I be addressing a short and how? Any suggestions would be great.

most likely your motor is going bad. you can clean it out but it will eventually go bad again. The armature builds up with carbon from the brushes and that's why it fails. If you take it apart and clean it out with electronic parts cleaner then it should work again. Do your self a favor and save the aggrevation and just buy a new OEM replacement from the dealer. The one you get from a parts store are junk rebuilt ones that don't last. I've gone through two motors from Autozone and they never made it to a year. The new Infiniti replacements are supposed to be improved to fix these issues.

Ive got window issues too. When it goes up all the way in auto mode it tops out then comes back down halfway. The only way i can get it to go up and stay there is to bring it up by manual mode with the switch.

for that you need to do the window motor reset. take off the door panel and on the metal door skin there is a circular black sticker in the middle of the panel. remove the sticker to access the reset button. put the window in the full up position, press and hold the reset button, lower the window (don't use auto down, just gently press the down so it doesn't activate auto) when it completely lowers release the reset button and then raise to fully closed. that's it.

sometimes it gets stuck and you need to try several times before it works. it's a mechanical setting which aligns the gear inside of the motor housing so several attemps may be necessary. it's very frustrating the first time you try it.
