Whenever driving or standing rev above 3.5rpm. in my 03 g35 coupe i hear knocking sounds from my engine. check light stays on, and when diagnosed it says idt valve (vtec valve) error. could this be the cause for the knocking.

 

Check your oil, i was extremely low and didnt realize it til i did an oil change. Good place to start cause i was concerned with that knocking noise
